Job Description:
The basic grade Radiochemist/Radiopharmacist will work and take responsibility in the preparation and quality assurance of Radiopharmaceuticals in the Radiopharmaceutical Unit in line with international safety & quality standards of radiopharmaceuticals (International Atomic Energy Agency, World Health Organization, International and National Pharmacopoeias, US Pharmacopoeia, European Pharmacopoeia and others).
Duties:
- Calculate and draw daily radioactive doses to be given to the patients
- Quality control and calibration for dose calibrator
- Elute Mo-99/Tc-99m generator on daily basis and run quality control for the elute
- Ordering reagents, radiopharmaceuticals and the generator
- Prepare all Tc-99m radiopharmaceuticals daily as needed
- Run quality control of all radiopharmaceuticals prepared
- Inventory of kits
- Check all radiopharmacy instrumentation and equipment
- Weekly inventory for used and unused radioactive source |
